This game is a little complicated. Having had more significance before Russia collapsed, it has since been adapted (by some) to become "Escape from Golus". The concept remains the same, and it's still a great game, albeit (I like that word) requiring lots of preparation and organization. I myself have never played this in camp, so….good luck!
Here are the rules:
To Escape you must acquire: (in this order) an I.D. Card, Passport, Visa, Ticket, and then you must reach the "point of freedom" before the time is up.
Establish five locations: [1] a starting point (to get your I.D. Card), and three "offices" (strategically placed) for distributing: [2] Passports, [3] Visas, and [4] Tickets. [5] a point of "freedom".
The "officials" at each "office" should harass the campers to make it hard for them to receive their documents.
If a camper gets caught by the K.G.B. (Staff) in-between locations:
[1] & [2] - One corner of I.D. Card gets ripped off (print a number on each corner, it's like punching a hole). You have four chances.
[2] & [3] - Passport revoked. Go back to [2] to get a new one.
[3] & [4] - Visa revoked. Go back to [3] to get a new one.
[4] & [5] - Ticket revoked. Go back to [4] to get a new one. [South African version (much more fun): Ticket, Visa, & Passport revoked. Start all over again!]
Campers who finish on time receive a prize. Have a staff member at the "freedom" point write down the manes of those who win.
You can change the name of things to adapt this game to "escape from golus." This may take some more figuring out, but is an excellent idea and works well. Each document is another "deed" to bring Moshiach: Passport is "Torah" ("tell me some torah by heart!"), Visa is "Mitzvah" (B'mai havey zohir tfay or Hachlotos), Ticket is "Avodah" or "Tzedaka" ("whoever has money for Tzedakah goes to the head of the line!")
Another version of this game: campers have to travel through the different countries that the Rebbe was in, on his way from Russia to U.S.A. (Speak to Hatomim Sholom Wilensky).
